I do not recommend this vendor! There dresses and tuxes are very nice and they have high quality for a good value. However, if you want nothing but the run around, excuses and headaches go here. They were unapologetic for all their mishaps and use nothing but excuses. Good luck even getting them to return your call half the time. If you want worry, frustration and aggrevation The Hope Chest is where you can find that. We are surprised this business even survives!

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses through The Hope Chest because they had the best price I could find, but in retrospect, I should have gone through a different shop. The difference in price was not worth the difference in service or professionalism. The space is cluttered and dirty, the service was awkward at best, and although my order ultimately came out just fine, there were also some communication issues along the way.I also shopped for wedding dresses there at the same time I ordered bridesmaids dresses, and that experience left much to be desired. The garment bags were yellowed and dirty, the gowns seemed outdated, and they gave me dresses to try on that wouldn't have even come close to fitting, so I didn't even bother trying most of them on. They also had no necessary undergarments (like corsets or skirts) for trying on gowns that you would normally be able to use at other shops, so I wound up only trying one dress on and then leaving.The staff is friendly and they try, but they're disorganized; the space behind the desk is very cluttered, and the woman who was helping me misplaced my order within five minutes while I was still standing right there. Every time I called, I had to leave a message and they didn't return my calls very promptly; sometimes I had to wait several days to hear back from them. That being said, my order arrived earlier than the anticipated date, and the dresses were perfect, but I would not recommend The Hope Chest based on the above experience.

Terrible experience! I never received a call for when my bridesmaid dresses were in originally. So finally i called because it had been close to the wedding and weeks after they said they would be in. The woman told me she had called me a couple of weeks before and had left a VM with my and now the bridesmaids would be getting late charges for not picking up the dresses right away. I explained i had never received an original call and that if no one got a hold of me why we couldn’t get follow up call before late fees started occurring. She stated they are only open certain hours and they do not have the man power to do things like this and did not believe me that i had never received an initial call. They are only open by appointment so when we wanted to pick up our dresses it took days to even get a call back. Not sure how they are still in business...Needless to say most of the bridesmaids were charged extra but she did send me a coupon for dry cleaning on my dress...Never recommend to anyone, and neither would my five bridesmaids!

I would definitely recommend The Hope Chest. I went to them for both my wedding Dress and my bridesmaid dresses. They had a much more unique selection of dresses than a lot of places and were reasonably priced

The Hope Chest had a great variety of dresses. Before I arrived they picked out a bunch of dresses in the style i liked and was pleased to find my dress within minutes! My address arrived a month earlier than anticipated. I would recommend them!

Fantastic selection, fantastic value and fantastic service! The Hope Chest was not my first stop in looking for a dress, but it was definitely my last. If any bride is as busy as me, I would recommend making them your first stop, because they have all you need and more. I could not believe the options I had. At other shops, I was lucky to find one dress I liked, but at The Hope Chest I found 5 of them that I absolutely loved! In the end, the shop owner really helped me make my final decision, and it turned out perfect. I also got my bridesmaid & flower girl dresses and tuxes there. They even had the right dress for my mom, which made her look so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to the staff at The Hope Chest for making my wedding day truly memorable and perfect in every way!

We had almost 18 months to plan our wedding originally, but after I ordered my wedding dress, bridesmaids and tuxedos at The Hope Chest, we found out my mom had cancer and the prognosis wasn't very good, so my husband and I moved our wedding up almost a full year so we could make sure my mom could be there. I was so worried I wasn't going to be able to get everything I had ordered in time for the wedding because by the time we made the date change we only had a couple months. But the staff at The Hope Chest was amazingly understanding and accommodating. They did whatever they had to do to put a rush on the orders for the dresses and everything was here in plenty of time. They were so great because they continually told me not to worry and that they would take care of things, which they did. It really took a lot of stress off my shoulders and I was so happy to be able to have the wedding of my dreams and that my mom was able to be a part of it all. I don't know that any other shop I visited would have put forth the time and energy to making my wedding so important. The Hope Chest made me feel like it was their top priority. I'm so grateful for their help and so happy I didn't choose anyplace else!

They made planning our wedding so easy because they had so much to offer at one place. They had the best selection of dresses of anywhere I looked. I got a great deal on my wedding gown, and I got so many compliments on it at the wedding. Everyone wanted to know where I got it, and I told everyone about this cute little shop in Ham Lake. The owner and her daughter were awesome to work with, and are very knowledgeable. I would recommend this shop to anyone getting married. We got our tuxes and bridesmaid dresses there too, and everyone looked beautiful on our wedding day! Thanks so much for making our day unforgettable!

The girls at the hope chest are amazing and great to work with. They took care of ordering all of the dresses and tuxedos for our wedding and we were so happy with everything. They have an awesome collection of bridal and bridesmaid dresses to choose from. Also the seamstress they work with was great and very reasonable. I would definetly recommend the Hope Chest to anyone looking for a stress free experience!

I would not recommend this bridal shop to anyone. I had so many problems between my bridesmaids and their dresses and my dress, it was ridiculous. One of my bridesmaids was pregnant and the shop suggested she only go up one size of dress when she was already bordering on the large side of the size she would have currently been in and she wouldn't not be wearing the dress for over 6 months still. I know it's hard to predict how much weight you are going to gain but it's pretty basic that in 6 months you are going to gain more then a couple inches. I had another bridesmaid who was in and out of the hospital and both her and I called to make sure they could hold her dress without extra charges until she was able to come in and we were both reassured that it would be fine. She ended up paying about $150 dollars in fees . That's just the bridesmaid dresses.I also ordered my dress through this shop and was disappointed in the way they handled everything. First, when I was being measured I measured into one size and wanted to go down one size as I was in the process of losing weight and knew I would lose enough to wear the next size down. I had to argue with one of the ladies there for at least 5 minutes before she finally put down the next size down. Second, we discussed the bustle a couple of times when trying on the dress and never was I told that I had to meet with an alterationist in order to get the bustle put in. I picked up the dress assuming it was all taken care of (and stupidity on my part, didn't check). Come the wedding day as we are checking everything out I realize there's nothing there. I called The Hope Chest and they said well if you can get it over right now we can have it done in a couple hours. Obviously that didn't happen since my wedding was taking place in a short time. The part that I can't get over is that the person I talked to on the phone kept telling me over and over that it was my fault and yes I was told that I would have to meet with an alterationist. I went back to my mother and my sister (who were both at all my appointments with me) and both of them confirmed I had never been told that, I had only been shown what an inside/outside bustle would look like. Very, very disappointing. I told the person on the phone that I would tell everyone I know not to go to this shop so please don't. You will most likely just end up disappointed as I was over and over again.

These ladies were great to work with! I loved my dress and they even put up with me stopping in to try it on several times before buying it! And it was on clearance! Excellent service, though the owner of the shop was a little pushy at times.

They had a large variety of dresses. The space to try on dresses and move around is a bit tight. Store was very cluttered and appeared very disorganized to the customers eye.We also ordered groomsmen gifts from them that took a very long time to receive and ended up being wrong. hard to get a hold of staff especially as they are appointment only and had no real business hours for the week.Overall ok

I needed to get my wedding gown in a short period of time and they were able to provide without charging any extras. I also needed my bridesmaids dresses in a rush, they showed me what they thought were my best options for getting the dresses in time to be altered and ready for my wedding day. With the exception of one mistake, the dress I chose and my matron of honor paid for did not come in the colors I chose, but the store called and told me the bad news as soon as they realized their mistake so I was able to go the next day and choose a different dress.

The Hope Chest girls were great! They had so much to choose from and I just love the peaceful setting of the store. The dressing rooms were a lot bigger than most other shops I visited, so I felt very comfortable; almost right at home. And that's how the staff made me feel...like I was a friend, not just another bride. It was a really wonderful experience all around. My dress was beautiful, and it fit me perfectly with the help of their seamstress. I got so many compliments at our wedding, and everyone wanted to know where we got everything. I gladly told them "at The Hope Chest", and I'll continue spreading the word for years to come. They truly made me feel special and helped make our wedding day and the entire process of planning it unforgettable. Thank you ladies!

The staff was very helpful and met my needs. They had many options to look at on the internet even before I went in to try on dresses. They made suggestions and were able to provide me with my perfect dress. I was able to come in a try it on three different time with my mother. They made it feel very welcome each time! This mother/daughter team is great.

It was sometime difficult to get ahold of them as they didn't accept walk ins very often and I often had to leave a voicemail by phone.

I cannot say enough about the ladies at The Hope Chest. Kohleen & Sue were such a dolls and helped me every step of the way--without them I think I would have gone crazy planning my wedding, but they really helped keep me grounded and on task throughout the whole process. If ever I forgot something, they would remember. It was particularly impressive because my wedding was on one of the busiest days of the year and although they were busy with many weddings, they always made me feel like important. Every experience with their store was first rate--not only was everything taken care of on time, but most things even came in or were completed early. I was so relieved to have found them and I knew almost the moment I stepped foot inside their store that I wanted to business with them. I was dreading going wedding gown shopping since my sister had a bad experience with another shop a couple years ago, but The Hope Chest really restored my faith in people, because it realy seemed like they cared about me and my wedding. We were able to plan most of our wedding with them. I got my gown, my bridemaids, our tuxes, my mom's and my mother-in-law's dresses, our invitations, flower bouquets, some rental items for the wedding and reception as well as a lot of the little things like jewelry and shoes and my veil. I wish they offered even more, I would have had them take my photos and bake my cake too! :) But seriously, anyone who is getting married should check them out. You'll be happy you did!

I would highly recommend The Hope Chest. The service was great, and since it is a small boutique, the staff gets to know you quite well and is very accommodating. Since my reception was less than a mile away, and they were still at the store, they even came to help me bustle my dress when we couldn't get the ribbons tied quite right. Their selection of gowns was great and I was very pleased with the quality of all of the dresses.
