The Great Hall Banquet & Conference Center

The Great Hall was exactly what we wanted for our wedding - beautiful, romantic, and unique. Natalie was always available to answer our questions, and was also prompt to do so. We were able to choose from a list of 5 or 6 caterers, so we could fine one that fit our style and budget.I would recommend the Great Hall to anyone looking for an amazing place to have a wedding reception.

This place was absolutely horrible. From the moment we sat down with Natalie we already felt like we were wasting her time. She never returned phone calls and gave us false information. It is over priced for terrible service. Please be cautious when booking with The Great Hall. The hall actually looks outdated too. It can use some touch up as well. Don't sign contracts unless you know what you are getting yourself into.

The Great Hall is absolutely gorgeous. All of my guests were very impressed! Natalie was amazing and helpful in the whole process and contacted all of my vendors...my photographer said that was extremely impressive as no other venue has EVER done that in her whole career.

The Great Hall is a beautiful, versatile space perfect for 250-300 people. The cost was pretty average compared to similar venues in the Twin Cities. They nickel and dime you a bit, adding costs for security, wedding coordinators and ceiling draping in addition to the rental cost. My major disappointment was with the sound system. A facility like this should have a quality, reliable sound system and The Great Hall just doesn't have one – or at least someone wasn’t running it correctly during my wedding. My officiant had to turn off his microphone at the very start of the ceremony because of feedback, so our guests couldn't really hear the ceremony. When our band announced our names as we came in for the grand entrance, no one heard it. And, we might as well have skipped the toasts and speeches altogether. It felt like our guests and our wedding party were at two separate gatherings the whole night because we could not share the time and interact with them. If anything, TEST the sound system when you first check out the venue and test it again at your rehearsal. This is something that I so wish I would have done.

We could have not chosen a better place for our reception! They were friendly, helpful, and always able to provide suggestions of vendors and answer our questions. Our reception was beautiful, and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! Thier day of coordinator helped ensure that everything went seamlessly. I could not thank Natalie and Erin enough!

Natalie at The Great Hall is excellent at what she does. She helped my wedding day to run seamlessly & made sure all of my vendors knew when to be there to set up, etc. She took all the worry of the day off my shoulders! The venue is so beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to get married. Natalie was very flexible in working with our many requests for the event.

The Great Hall is a really large and beautiful space. It's a great wedding location. But more than that, the staff and service provided for wedding planning, set-up and coordination is incredible there. They understand and anticipate every possible piece of the wedding procession and have their own coordinators (that you do need to hire and pay) to get all the lighting, timing and set-up down perfectly. We threw a big and expensive wedding with lots of staff and planners and I was most impressed with the Great Hall manager and coordinator out of all of those vendors. The Hall itself is really pretty and a nice, private venue for a large wedding. The ceilings are really high and the wall colors and textures make for great photos. But I think it did seem too big most of the evening since the majority of the crowd was really spread out. No regrets, though. It was great.

Natalie at the Great Hall was a pleasure to work with. She was extremely responsive and made my life easier! The space is beautiful. Although it isn't well-known, it really is a great place to have a wedding. The guests thought it was beautiful and a very elegant place to have a wedding.

The Great Hall is a beautiful place to have either your wedding, reception or possibly both. I had both my wedding ceremony and recpetion there. There prices are very reasonable for what you get. They do set up and tear down if you have both your ceremony and reception there and they do the change over. They have little things you can rent to make your ceremony your own. I got two coordinators to help plan my event. They even have an escalator that we used to have part of the wedding party come down. It's very glamorous inside.

The great hall did a fantastic job organizing and executing both our ceremony and our reception. The venue is beautiful and the coordinators are fantastic. It was loved by all and since then, my sister and a friend have used them.
