Rochester International Event Center

The Rochester Event Center was the one and only place we were planning on having our reception as we were 100% positive it would be the best place in town to hold it and we were not disappointed. In fact, most of all our guests complimented the staff, the food and the atmosphere. They were extremely helpful in planning and organizing everything and the wait staff was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond our expectations. It was amazing!

The event center was very flexible and easy to work with. The facility was clean. The food was fantastic. The staff for very friendly, professional, and did everything we had asked of them and more. If I had to do it all over again, I would for sure use the event center for the reception/catering.

The reception hall can hold up to 500 people and was very spacious even with a buffet table, head table, DJ and dance floor. Nothing had to be moved in order to use the entire dance floor. They provide table linens if you wish and have a very accomodating staff. The Event Center is very new to Rochester and is kept very clean.

The room was beautiful, there was a good menu selection, and several people told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Since everything was included, the cost was comparable to renting everything individually, but SO much easier! My only complaint was that we were not able to get in to set up until late morning the day of the wedding.

In the end, everything was perfect. We did have a few glitches along the way. We worked with 3 different people which ended up being extremely inconvenient having to re-explain everything numerous times and then have to worry about whether or not everything was going to turn out correctly. I also did a lot of communicating by e-mail but the items that were discussed were never put in my file, so I had to find "proof" of pricing, etc. However, the end result was totally worth any hassle. We had tons of compliments on the food and facility. Very nice bathrooms. The wait staff was very friendly. It was great not having much for set up and having no clean up.

The Event Center was an awesome venue to hold our reception. We actually booked it, site unseen, when it was still just a drawing. The food was awesome, the ambiance of the room was perfect, and the staff was friendly and flexible. Our guests had so much fun at our reception! The Sleep Inn is across the street, so our guests could just walk to their hotel room.
