This ceremony venue is gorgeous. There is no doubt about it. We got about a thousand compliments on how amazing the space was. My only negatives were 1) They really pack you in on the day…we had a ceremony before us who’s reception was going on during our ceremony and some of the noise disrupted us during our ceremony, and then there was a ceremony immediately following us so there were people all over when we were trying to do our receiving line. They also had a reception going on during our rehearsal so people from the reception were wandering through our rehearsal the whole time. I also had a lady from the reception going on during our ceremony trying to talk to me right before I walked down the aisle. Not cool. 2) They have an event coordinator there but she was really super quite and seemed really put off by the fact I had hired a DOC. She was very much not a take-charge-personality, however, so if you’re looking for someone to run stuff I wouldn’t rely on their coordinator. 3) There is no air conditioning so it can get very warm. Our day wasn’t even super hot (upper 70s) and I felt like I was going to pass out during pictures. In the end, however, I have no regrets going with this venue. It was breathtaking.

The Northwestern College Chapel was nothing short of amazing. It is absolutely beautiful and helped make my fantasy wedding day come true. The one and only downfall is it's not air conditioned. The day we got married the heat index was well over 100 degrees ... no one fainted, but it was very hot and really, really sweaty. Everything else was absolutely amazing - and if you're getting married in the spring or fall I think it would be even more ideal because you wouldn't have to worry about the heat. The staff is wonderfully - more kind and responsive than anywhere else!

My husband and I both knew we wanted to get married here--long before we met. There are two offices to work with--the event planning office and the catering office (Bon Appetit). The event planning office was good. The person we met with (twice) to see the site and review details was not the person who was present the day of our wedding. It would have been better to have met with the actual wedding assistant prior to the rehearsal so she could have understood better what we wanted (she had only the notes from the person we met with). I rated this lower because of the event planning office. The catering staff was wonderful. DeAnna was enthusiastic and helpful while providing us with realistic expectations of what could be done. She was very accomodating with a variety of special dietary needs for our guests (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, nut allergies--we had it all!), even providing an alternate dessert option for gluten free guests who couldn't eat cake! Bon Appetit's prices were very reasonable compared to other vendors. We were required to use them (and the on-site banquet room) because of our ceremony time, but we certainly didn't feel limited or taken advantage of. On their own, Bon Appetit would score 5/5.

The Nazareth chapel is absolutely beautiful. The service was great. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was the dressing rooms.

We got married at Northwestern College at the Nazareth Chapel. It was beautiful and turned out to be exactly what I envisioned. The only slight problem we had was the time frame. For pictures we were not allowed in the chapel area until about an hour before the wedding because they book 3 weddings on Saturday and we were in the middle. It was stressful because we were limited to where we could take pictures since it was winter. However the wedding coordinator and director found places that we could use and it worked out. I just wish we could have had more time to take pictures inside the chapel. We did not have our reception there.

Beautiful place to get married!!! We absolutely loved it! If you want that "chapel feel" this is truly an amazing, breathtaking place to be married. The people we worked with were very nice and really listened to what we wanted and were very flexible. I would highly recommend Northwestern.

What a beautiful chapel! This college campus used to be a Catholic Monastery and the construction and beauty of this chapel truly shows how magnificent the architects were back in the day! Wonderful venue seats about 300, great campus for pictures. Beautiful forests, lake, chapel, small chapel, veranda, gardens, amazing wedding pictures will be a guarantee with a wedding at Northwestern! The 3 stars on flexibility is only because this chapel is in such high demand, they keep you to very strict times schedules to make room for the next wedding (1 on Friday, 3 on Saturday, and 2 on sunday) just adds one more thing to be thinking about on your wedding day. The chapel is not air conditioned which in the summer got a little hot, but it was worth the sacrifice! Would Highly recommend!

The Nazareth Chapel is a beautiful place to get married! They help you plan out your ceremony and even provide a wedding coordinator for the big day. The campus is so pretty and the marble chapel, columns and beautiful stained glass windows are stunning. If you're looking for a memorable ceremony site, this is it!

THe cermony sound professional was horrible at Northwestern. The audience sat for at least a mintue waiting for the bride's song to start so the doors would open and she would walk down the aisle. Finally, the wedding coordinator had to open the chapel doors and ask him to start the song. After that, he randomly started playing songs (by accident I am sure) and then abruptly cut them off during the ceremony. He also failed to play music as guests were being dismissed by ushers (we had left a post-ceremony cd for him to play) I felt that I could have done a better job than he did!

My husband and I are both students at Northwestern and we were blown away by the help that was there for us on our wedding day. They provided us with a wedding coordinator that was so pleasant to work with. They took care of everything that we thought would be stressful that day. The location is beautiful and they are more than willing to work with special requests. I couldn't have had a better place to begin my marriage.

The Chapel is gorgeous with stain-glass windows and marbal columns! The service was excellent. Although they don't offer some services, like band or musicians, they do have several lists of recommendations. As far as budget goes, it's AWESOME! Just rent the venue and you can use their accessories like candles, vases, mirrors, etc. My approximate cost for this vendor includes the rental of the chapel, reception, and all the food and punch for 160 people.

My only complaint regarding Northwestern College was their strict time frame. There was hardly any flexibility for me during the day. Although, my wedding did turn out beautiful and the time frame didn't bother me at all on the big day. Just make sure to be extremely organized and make sure everyone else involved in the wedding understands their need to stay on a strict schedule. Northwestern was easy to work with and get along with. They did provide numerous 'extras' for us such as sound person, light person, unity candle holders, pillars, candles, etc. It was wonderful because we didn't have to worry about finding our own supplies to accomodate for our wedding. They took care of it all!

Beautiful beautiful chapel, which is what attracted me to it in the first place. However, I had an August wedding, and there is no air conditioning in the chapel, which made it nearly unbearably hot. Nearly. Northwestern is very conservative, something I didnt realize when I first booked it, but for all that they don't allow on campus and for a reception, they were flexible enough with us on the ceremony that we could hace virtually any ordained minister do it, and could choose whatever music we wanted, and didnt have to have a mass or anything, which was important to us. They have nice set up options to beautify the chapel too, and the grounds are incomparable for pictures. They were supposed to provide audio of the service, but never did, however we had a dvd of the entire ceremony made so we didnt mind. Would never have the reception here, as they dont allow drinking or dancing or smoking, and my relatives love some or all of those things. But the ceremony was quite nice - just a little pricey for the fact that they have no air condition, but worth a million in pictures. Also book early - I was on the wait list for my date over a year and a half beforehand, and it didnt open up for a couple months, either.

Northwestern College is one of the most beautiful places to get married. The college provided sound tech people for the day of our wedding, and got the mic's for the pastor, vocalists, musicians, and the bride and groom all set up. Everything sounded great, no feedback from the mics or anything. And at the end of our ceremony, there was a CD for us, with everything on it, from the beginning of the ceremony to the end! The people I met with before the wedding we amazing too! It was just a little hard to work my schedule around theirs. They helped me go through who would walk up the aisle when, who sits where, and even what music gets played when. The night of the rehersal, someone is there to answer any questions you have, and they make sure everything goes on without a hitch! I loved it!
