I have had a total of 2 experiences with the St.Cloud store. My first experience was wonderful. The consultant was awesome. They had almost every dress that I wanted to try on, and in my size. Everyone was very nice, very professional, and they even let my 11 year old daughter pick out a few dresses for me to try on. My 2nd experience was the opposite. Unfortunatly, I have had to call off my wedding. I called the store and asked them about the return policy, they said they would call me back. 2 hours later, I hadn't heard, so I called them again. A different person answered the phone, she said that the manager had put ina call to the owner and still hadn't heard back. I told them that I was heading into St.Cloud and I would be stopping by anyway to find out about it, so that I might not have to waste a trip. The next thing I know, the manager called me back and this is exactly what she said "I know you said that you are going to march in here and demand your money back, but you can't do that. I have to talk to the owner first". And the service just went downhill from there. I told her that is not what I said, and that I just wanted to save myself from having to make another trip, as I live about a half hour away and gas isn't cheap. She said that it could be hours or even days before she knew if they had to charge me $100 for the return. I told her that it didn't make sense that she, a manager, doesn't know how to do returns, but that I would be in and we could discuss it then. When I got to the store, the manager hardly spoke to me other than to ask for my orignal credit card. She slammed the pen down in front of me to sign the return slip, and didn't say another word. She was VERY rude. Now...my problem with this...I had told them that I had to call off my wedding. It was very apparent that I had been crying, both on the phone, and in person. You would think, in their line of business, that they might have a little more compassion for someone who has just been through something as traumatic as that. Nobody asked why I had to call it off. Nobody offered sympathy or compassion. Nobody seemed to care. How sad. The real kicker, I had to call off my wedding, but there will eventually be a wedding, so when it DOES come time to get my dress, I will probably buy the same dress from another place. I will never go back to that place, and I will warn everyone that I speak to AWAY from that place.

Most brides love wedding dress shopping, but when you are petite, it's sometimes more of a pain. However, Mestads helped make it a fun experience. With there help, I found the perfect dress at an exceptional price. I also used Mestads for bridesmaid dresses and tuxes and everyone was really happy with their service and expertise. Mestads is a must-stop for brides in Southern Minnesota.

Mestads was great! The staff was very friendly. They have a really nice selection of designer dresses at a very affordable price. My dress even came in 2 months earlier then they orginaly told me!

I can't describe to how great these guys were! They were right there so excited for me when I found the perfect dress and they were not all about the money, they were all about making me happy! When I had went to every bridal store in town without success of finding the perfect bridesmaid dress line, they encouraged me and assured me it was supposed to be fun! Four of the associates stayed by my side brainstorming and listening to my complicated requirements (one of the ladies even stayed after work for a while to try to help). I walked out of that store with the perfect line that was affordable, had the perfect shade of orange, in the right material and length, with several different styles that my girls could choose from. One of my bridesmaids needed a special neckline also. Anyways, they were awesome! I also got all of our tuxes there and I had an enormous wedding party and they got everyone's tuxes perfect right down to the T.

Jenna Sandford helped my mom and I find the perfect dress for me. I truly loved my wedding dress. The guys all looked extremely handsome in their tuxes. There is plenty of variety and the staff, especially Jenna, is very helpful.

I found the dress of my dreams at Mestads. I always had awesome appointments at Mestads. I had some unique situations with family and Mestads was always more than accomodating. We used Mestads for all of our bridal party attire: bridesmaids, tuxedo rental, ring bearer tux, bride's jewelry, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend Mestads.

I found a perfect dress!

One of the worst experiences we have ever had. I had purchased my wedding gown from them, recommended them to a friend whom had bought a dress, and purchased a bridal gown through them. This company cannot admit their mistakes, refuses to think outside the box for a solution and is unwilling to help our their loyal customers. We will NEVER recommend them again. We will NEVER go to them again. It took them TWO months to get the bridal dress to me. They said they would ship the dress to another store closer to me, two weeks went by, did not hear anything back, called again, was told it would be at the store near me in the next day, another call was placed asking for the dress again to be shipped. By the time it arrived the dress needed to be altered. There was no time to alter the dress with less than a week till my friends wedding (who also purchased her dress, and all the brides maids dresses from the store I MISTAKENLY recommend.) I work full time and have a child and called their main store to get a solution. I was treated like crap for their mistake, not mine. The 'manager' cheryl made me feel like it was my fault it took them TWO months to get me my dress. I asked for a solution and they couldn't even admit their mistake with the notes on their computer system. I feel disrespected as a customer, but also betrayed when I had previously spoken so highly of them. I am now left with a dress that doesn't fit, no solution to fix it with a wedding in a few days. Please support a business that is willing to admit their mistakes and worth with their loyal customers and not make them feel worthless when a situation that they created arises.

I bought my wedding dress and my bridesmaids' dresses at Mestads. I have mixed feelings about the experience. My dress was wonderful, but alterations will put a big hole in your budget, especially when you wanted to order a size smaller but they told you to go with the bigger anyway--see, then you have to pay them for alterations. Even though the alterations were expensive they looked great! I had my first fitting seven months before the wedding (I live four hours from Rochester and had my fittings when I could make it up there), and I called back in May wanting to make a second appointment only to find out they hadn't touched my dress at all in those five months!! They were mad, but they had five months to start working on it and knew I had to travel there. Needless to say, they made it work for me and the alterations turned out great. My bridesmaids felt their salesman was very pushy, and he was very pushy on sizes as well. I understand it's easier to take a dress in than to let it out, but they were recommending sizes that were three sizes bigger than what my girls had worn for recent weddings. My girls went against his judgment and ordered the sizes they felt they needed and they worked out great. One more complaint was that they were terrible about letting me know when my dress was in and when my bridesmaid dresses were in. I found out my dress was in about three weeks after it had arrived. Again, I had a good distance to travel and wasn't happy dealing with this delay. With this, they weren't good about getting swatches sent to me. I had to call back more than once to remind them to send me swatches of my dress and the bridesmaid colors--once my sister who lived in town, had to stop in to pick them up as they still hadn't sent them.

Mestad's was the perfect dress shopping experience. I had gone because it was close to home and my sister had gone the year before and they were great with her as well. I am a plus sized girl and they were very helpful. They had dresses in every size and if I liked a dress that wasn't my size they were great at "pinning" it on me so I could see what it would look like. Lindsey was a doll! They did our tuxes also. They got us in for appointments right away and were very quick with alterations. They do get busy during prom.

We went with Mestad's for my bridesmaids' dresses and they were great. We were able to attend Ladies Night Out and receive a nice discount and they were even able to work with us when we added another bridesmaid 2 months before the wedding. They even gave my last minute bridesmaid the same discount that the others received. That is amazing flexibility and service.

I purchased my wedding gown and my bridesmaid dresses at Mestad's Bridal in St. Cloud. Jenna made the dress shoppping process very relaxing and so much fun. I found a dress I loved but it wasn't in my budget. Jenna found a dress almost identical to the one I loved and it was in my price range. I absolutely love the dress from Mestad's and my bridesmaid dresses were gorgeous! The quality of their dresses is excellent and their service is excellent too. I would recommend Mestad's to anyone who wants a fun and stress-free dress shopping experience.

I found a great dress with some friends there and had no problems, but sales people do get a little pushy for you to buy, (they have a "first time bride discount" so you save x% if you buy the first time you try on), they also push to order dresses earlier than may be necessary.

Terrible customer service. I felt rushed and pushed into buying the dress (although I love it) ... The sales consultant lied to me about who made the dress, came back the following week to try it on again and to meet with the designer of the dress like she had told me ... But it was actually just some jewelery designer ... Nice .. Would never buy anything from here ever again...

Mestad's employees are extremely helpful when picking out the wedding attire and the selection is outstanding. The only problem that I had was my bustle wasn't very "sturdy" as it came out by the dance.

I was able to find the perfect dress here off the interent but the associate wasn't able to find it so they suggested some other stores to look at and that they would be able to order for me. Once the associate realized I wasn't buying a dress that day, she didn't seem as concerned on finding me other options. But I was able to find my dress and order through Mestads since i didn't want to travel, everything came out great.

I purchased my wedding gown, bridesmaid dresses, and a clip for my hair from Mestads. I was very impressed with their selection. They had unique dresses from original designers, which was very important to me. They also have a ton of trunk shows, which are fun to go to and help you see more of the designer's collection. I really love the new location, and the store is gorgeous! It's very neat and clean, and the sample dresses were too. I received a ton of compliments on everything I bought there. The only problem I had was that they appear to have some issues with inventory between their Rochester store and the St. Cloud location, which is where I went. When I called into the store, they assured me that they had the dress in stock, but when I went in that day to try it on, they told me they had sent the dress to their Rochester store. I could have forgiven this once, but this happened twice with the wedding gown and once with the bridesmaid dress I was looking at! Three times, I was told the dress was in stock and ready to be tried on, but when I got there hours later, it wasn't there. It was clear that they were just looking in the computer and not actually on the racks for the dress. I found that very frustrating, and that's why I gave them a 4 out of 5 for responsiveness. That said, the employees were extremely pleasant and helpful when I was in the store, and I would certainly recommend Mestads. They dresses were gorgeous, and I was overall pleased with the experience.
