Ling Photography

If I can impart only one word of advice to future brides and grooms it would be to do your research and to spend the time it takes to find a photographer whose work you love. We were lucky - Ai Ling was the first photographer we met and we knew instantly that we wanted to hire her for our wedding. And oh my gosh, the photos are fantastic! We can't thank her enough for capturing the fun, emotion and joy of our day so beautifully. She was a dream to work with - the initial consultation was low pressure and fun. The day of our engagement session we were running late after a stressful day at the office and were having some trouble relaxing. She managed to send us home with a completely uplifted mood and such fun photos. She was also incredibly fast with her responses any time we had a question - both before the wedding, and after. We've received many compliments on how professional, fun and wonderful she was on the day of our wedding. Ai Ling was everywhere at once and that shines through in our photos. We really couldn’t have asked for more out of our wedding photographer. She really took the time to get to know us and to make sure we were happy. We never felt like just another "job" to her. It means so much to have captured such wonderful memories of our joined families and friends…She is truly amazing! Do yourself a favor and hire Ai Ling as your wedding photographer. Every positive adjective you can think of - friendly, amazing, talented, interesting, fun, caring, brilliant - these describe our photographer! Her turn around time on the final wedding photos was so much faster than ever expected - she had our images to us in less than 3 weeks after our wedding! The investment was worth every penny and we will cherish our photos forever. We are thrilled to have met Ai Ling and will absolutely request to work with her any other time we may find ourselves in need of a photographer. Thank you!

Ai Ling did an amazing job with our photos and her creativity really blew us away. She even did a gif. file of our wedding party doing the wave. She also jumped on the party bus with us to get some great action shots (including a stop at the bowling alley!). She really is up for anything and has a genuine gift for finding creative shots. She's also flexible and is great at answering questions as they come up.

Ai Ling was definitely a highlight of our wedding experience. She has a very calming presence that helped us relax and enjoy, resulting in gorgeous memories of our wedding day. She is so much more than a wedding photographer, what she creates is pure art! We have received so many compliments on our wedding photographs. Ai Ling did a great job on our wedding pictures! She really captured the spirit and "story" of our day. She got a lot of great posed pictures as well as many photos of great little special moments throughout the day. She was also very helpful (and calming) to me-- as the bride. She was able to wrangle everybody into pictures in a nice and polite way. She is fun to work with and listens to your needs. She is great! In general, photography is very expensive-- probably one of the most expensive parts of any wedding day. With Ai Ling, I really feel like I got my money worth. Ai Ling is very talented, professional, patient and creative! We absolutely love working with her and we thoroughly enjoy her beautiful and artistic work. She's been very accomodating to our requests and my family raved about how nice and efficient she is. It also helps that she can understand Chinese and Malay so she can communicate with my family members who don't speak English. We definitely recommend her service!

If I could give Ai Ling a rating of higher than 5 here I would because she is just so incredibly fabulous. Ai shot a couple of my friends' weddings and when I saw their pictures I was so impressed I knew we wanted to book her for our big day. From start to finish the experience is polished and professional. Ai is very organized and makes sure all details are taken care of. She was very quick to respond to any questions I had leading up to our wedding, which is so appreciated by a bride with dozens of vendors to keep track of and a million details floating around. The package we purchased included an engagement session in addition to the wedding day shoot. I have rarely had a professional photographer taking my picture so the engagement shoot was a great way to get to know Ai and get more comfortable being natural in front of the camera. I think having that time with Ai beforehand helped us relax more on the big day.Before the wedding day, Ai provided us with a form where we could capture all of the posed shots we wanted. That's just a perfect example of how Ai keeps everything organized and ensures that she's prepared. She is a pro!On the day of our wedding, I was nervous and thinking about the million details and tasks that needed to be done but during photos, Ai's calm demeanor helped keep me relaxed. After the wedding, I was thinking about how many times I noticed Ai Ling shooting during the day (outside of the posed pictures) and it was maybe once? She is like a ghost! She has a way of being in every place all at once but in an unobtrusive and quiet way.We got our pictures within 3 weeks of our wedding, which in comparison to other photographers, is lighting fast. She posted a small set of images on her blog so we could quickly and easily share some with friends and family but then she also created a private online gallery with all the photos. She also sent us a DVD in the mail and it came beautifully packaged--it felt like Christmas! Seeing our photos for the first time was absolutely amazing. Ai's pictures don't just document the day, they tell the story of our wedding. Every time I look through them, I feel like I'm re-living the emotion of the day. I am so thrilled that we will have those visual memories forever.In addition to everything Ai provided in our package, we also get a flushmount wedding album. We get to choose 50 photos and Ai will create a physical album for us. I could not be any happier with our experience with Ai Ling. I know several other brides that have also used her services and have heard nothing but gushing. She is THE best!!

My husband and I were married in a blizzard and Ai Ling made sure she made it to our wedding regardless of the fact she was in a car accident on her way to our wedding. She remained professional and was creative in her photos despite what happened earlier in the day. Due to the weather, we rescheduled where pictures were going to be taken before the wedding and Ai Ling was flexible and prepared for the changes. Ai Ling's photography is simply amazing! We constantly show off our engagement and wedding photos. The response is always that the pictures truly capture who we are, yet are creative and capture the surroundings. The one thing we KNEW in the beginning of planning our wedding was that we wanted an amazing photographer.A good friend of mine mentioned Ai Ling to me, so I looked up her site and her work and immediately sent her an email. We connected right away and she was very down to earth, flexible and professional. She is responsive and very organized in how she handles her business, so it makes the planning that much easier on the bride and groom. The advice everyone gives you for your wedding day is 'take time to take it in, because it flies by super fast.' This is so true. And, we took time to take it in, but it's impossible to do that the entire night because it's such a whirlwind of a time. The next day, you wake up and it feels like it was all a dream.However, when you have a truly talented, photojournalist-style photographer there to capture the moments for you and tell your story, you get to relive your wedding day as many times as you want. Ai is an incredibly talented photographer and both our engagement and wedding pictures turned out beautifully. I was so impressed with her work. From the moment I first contacted her she was quick with her responses to our questions, putting our pictures on her blog, and getting our images sent to us. She was very professional throughout out shoots and even put up with my fiance/husband being a little cranky. Throughout our wedding day she was always right there, getting pictures of every moment. I felt her prices were reasonable and her work was worth every penny. I've recommended Ling Photography to many of my friends and will continue to do so.

When we first met Ai Ling, both my husband and I knew we wanted to hire her for our wedding. She was quiet yet personable. We were so lucky to have Ai Ling photograph our November 7, 2009 wedding on the North Shore of Minnesota. We had a beautiful November day to celebrate our marriage, and Ai only added to our experience. I choked up when the blog of our wedding went up. Ai Ling captured not only the images of our wedding but the emotions and the essence of the day. It was a beautiful reminder of our hard work realized and I couldn't be more delighted and in love with our memories from her.
