We were able to have a 2 hour meeting with the florist before the wedding, and really sit and talk about things. I met her at the bridal show in Duluth at the DECC. Her warm, patient, and cheerful personality, coupled with unique floral displays, immediately drew me in. Her knowledge of flowers and skill to create bouquets and decor are excellent--far above any other florist we've seen. This woman loves her work, and welcomes challenging requests with great enthusiasm. Her and her team drove all the way from Hayward, WI to Grand Marais, MN for our wedding, and did not charge for travel time. Extraordinary flowers at an incredible value. She and her team are extremely punctual, prepared, organized, and can improvise in the event of unexpected surprises. I have already recommended this vendor to anyone who will listen. Since this florist has tripled her business over the past year, it was difficult to get responses and feedback promptly (both phone and e-mail). Especially for a bride, this causes much undue stress. If this business finds a way to improve communication with clients, their success would continue to skyrocket even further. For any future events or parties, In the Woods Floral and Events will be the first vendor on my list! Well done!

My flowers were AMAZING! Katie did a really good job executing my vision. People that have attended my wedding still come up to me and tell me how beautiful my flowers were! I would recommend Katie to anyone!

As the Mother of the Bride and wedding coordinator, I felt great knowing that Katie had everything covered for the flowers for our daughter's wedding. The bouquets and boutonnieres were just what we wanted. Katie from In The Woods Wedding was fabulous to work with! She met with me to get an idea of what I was looking for, as well as, learned about my personality to create very individualized arrangements. To see what she created was amazing, an absolute beauty! I highly recommend her, extremely easy to work with and extremely talented!

Katie,I appreciate your prompt reply but I am surprised you have never had complaints since we had so many problems. I don't even know all of what went wrong as I was so busy with other things, but here is what I know,1.) My notes state that my bouquet was supposed to be small (no bigger than 8-10 inches) while it was beautiful, it was sooo big (wider than my waist) that it took away from me.2.) I understand that things happen with perishable flowers, but flowers in the same color pallet were not substituted. The wedding flowers did not match my color scheme at all and since they were the only decorations besides the table clothes they didn't match the bridesmaids or the table clothes.~The wedding colors were, as stated in the invoice supposed to be fuscia, plum, merrigold, light but vibrant yellow, and green. What we received was light purple and bright yellow.~It would have been nice to know this and not just showed up with the wrong flowers in the wrong color scheme; It seems as though the supplier should have known what would/wouldn't be available when we finalized details a week before.~The flower petals for the ceremony ritual were supposed to be white and then the remaining petals were supposed to be in the colors stated above. However, they were red, yellow, light orange, and white~ not even close and they didn't match the rest of the flowers either.3.) I was told between you and Janel you would coordinate the centerpieces being set up. I asked both you and Janel about this before the wedding and it still wasn't set up during the reception. I personally inquired about this three times during the cocktail hour with lakewoods staff and was assured they would be set up. Upon sitting down for dinner, the flowers petals were still not on the table and again they were completely wrong colors. I would have rather had white petals versus the in my opinion ugly colors we received. In addition, you weren't even there as you had said.4.) We arranged for 1 vase to be on the table in the front of the ceremony along with a rose bowl of white petals, there were 2 plus a vase of white roses which were supposed to be on the back table. We never even used these as they were misplaced. Thank goodness there was a mistake and were enough white carnations to substitute in the ceremony.5.) My guests were first being seated and the flowers weren't even left in the vases or baskets~ they were left in boxes. The baskets and vases had light purple bows, not even a wedding color. The flower arrangement on benches were to be on every other bench.6.) I was told to have groomsmen meet at the bar at 1:00. Nobody showed up to pin anything on them until 2. So, they were all ready to go and at the bar...needless to say they filled there time by drinking. If running an hour late, SOMEONE should have informed them. I7.) It was air conditioned in our room. If it was too hot outside for the flowers, someone should have told me where they would be and it should have been arranged for them to be pinned on later. My groom didn't even have his boutonniere pinned on in time for pictures!8.) The boutonnieres were also not at all the colors we discussed.Thank God I had a personal attendant, who didn't even get to shower before the wedding since she was so busy runnning around. I don't know what we would have done as there would have even been no flowers for the ritual in baskets. My aunt and sister in law also had to help. They spent a lot of time and were stressed, which was not their role. In addition, we were short a wrist corsage so my personal attendant who was fixing all mistakes, was not even appreciated with a flower!I heard there was even more details that they didn't want to bother me with. Thank goodness they didn't because I was furious on Sunday as is.The one thing I was pleases with were corsages and bridesmaid bouquets. I don't know if there is anything you can do; what is done is done. The people there really made the wedding, so at least it was great in that regard. It was just not near what I envisioned in regards to looks and decorations. In fact it was Vikings colors, which are most frowned upon! The only thing I can think of for ME to do is treat my personal attendant to something VERY nice as she was overwhelmed and without her the wedding wouldn't have happened. I understand that things happen, but this was more than a dozen important details missed! Needless to say, I was very disappointed since putting so much time and money into this. I wouldn't wish this experience on another bride.

At times were slow to respond to my questions/concerns, but overall--addressed everything that I asked and provided absolutely beautiful flowers and decor...people could not stop commenting on how beautiful my floral arrangements were...and I have to agree--they were absolutely gorgeous!!

The flowers and decor at my wedding were absolutely fabulous!! In the Woods (Katie) has an amazing ear and eye for what you'll want. She proved to be a great support with other wedding suggestions as well to complement my theme. The only reason I gave her 4 for responsiveness was because I would email or call and not get a response for a few days sometimes. In the end, it was probably me being a bride and wanting to get things done right then-and-there but she knew our timeline. I've been to MANY weddings and have never seen the creativity like In the Woods showed for mine. Loved them and would recommend to anyone who wants the best, unique, and brilliant thinking that they will provide. :)

In the Woods Floral did a fabulous job on our wedding and reception flowers and decor. We could not have been more pleased with the results and the service. Plus, Katie pulled everything together for us on short notice and with a smile! We would highly recommend In the Woods Floral. Awesome!!

Katie and her crew at In the Woods Weddings did a FANTASTIC job at our wedding. The decor was gorgeous and the bouquets were more beautiful than I had imagined. Their attention to detail really pulled everything together.

When I met with Katie, we definitely clicked. I was so excited how open she was to my ideas and how she "got" my wedding style and vision right away. She has a lot of experience and resources at her disposal (lots of accessories you can use). So that was awesome. She's not as responsive as I would have liked, being a type-A bride. But when we did talk/email, we clicked. On my wedding day, I was a bit jarred to find she wasn't at my ceremony site. Her assistant was instead. I would have like to have known this ahead of time. Some of the flowers and decor items seemed slightly different than we discussed, but ultimately they were stunning and everyone agreed. Dawn, the assistant, was great on the day. Just throws a bride through a loop when things aren't as you expect on your wedding day. Besides that, I loved my bouquet, the bridesmaid bouquets, and the other floral decor. Absolutely stunning. Quality work, for sure!

Katie didn't return some of my phone calls and couldn't meet up with me to start the flower planning so I ended up trying to go with someone else. That ended up being a nightmare so later on I tried to get in touch with Katie again.I found that by emailing her worked best. The only thing I wasn't happy with in the end was the color of the ribbon used. I gave them an exact swatch of the bridesmaids dress for them to match the color of the dresses and other areas of the wedding with the bouquet ribbon. My bridesmaids dresses were a very light peachy pink so I wanted to make sure that the ribbon was the correct color. When the wedding day rolled around and flowers were delivered the ribbon was a BRIGHT PINK. I should have gotten a preview of the ribbon they bought it sure would have saved myself a headache. Everything else turned out alright. I am a visual person and think that I would have done different flowers after seeing how everything turned out. Making sure you meet in person multiple times would fix that and make sure everyone is on the same page.

I called them a week before the wedding and told her what I was looking for in an email. What she came up with exceeded my expectations and the flower arrangements were so beautiful!!!! I highly recommend.

Any bride would be wise to hire Katie and Dawn for their flowers. Frankly we were blown away by their fantastic designs, the richness of the flowers, the beauty. We could not have done better anywhere in the USA. Working with them was fantastic. There were so positive, happy and supportive. Plus they had great ideas. Actually when it all came together on the wedding day the flowers, garlands, arrangements, bouquets, corsages and centerpieces were far more beautiful than anything we expected. Everyone at the wedding was blown away by the overall beauty. We could not have been more pleased.

Katie with In The Woods Weddings was amazing to work with. She was willing to work with all of my last minute changes. I had to plan the wedding over the phone so I never saw the flowers before my wedding day and they were better than what I had in my mind. She is also very creative and can make any vision come true. You will be so happy to work with her for your wedding!

Katie is amazing to work with. She not only took care of the flowers and decor, she was our wedding coordinator as well. There is not a problem she can't handle and she always has the customer's best interest at heart! We loved working with her and if we ever have another event in northern Wisconsin, she will be the first person we will call!

Katie was wonderful to work with! She took care of every little detail in a very timely fashion. We were planning our wedding from a distance and Katie made it very easy and fun! It would have been much more stressful without her! She would have been worth the coordination fee at twice the price! Her floral arrangements and bouquets were elegant and gorgeous! She didn't complain when we had to cut our flower budget, but altered the flowers to fit our budget. You couldn't tell from looking at the beautiful flowers that there even was a budget! I would highly recommend Katie and "In the Woods Weddings"!
