Tom and Richard take beautiful pictures! They really have a great eye. On the day of our wedding we met them at an outdoor location and they had already scouted out a couple places that were great for pictures. They were very prepared and directed my husband and I well. We felt comfortable and when it was time to take family pictures they did an AWESOME job at posing people and making everything look very natural. They also took many wonderful candid shots of us and our guests. We didn't talk much about having an area during the reception for guests to take pictures, but they set something up and it turned out great! I loved how flexible they were and did a great job at meeting all of my requests for photos. Tom and Richard are both very personable and only want the best photos. They are completely focused on the job at hand. Having both of them taking pictures also allowed for one to take the formal pictures, while the other was taking candid and decor pictures. We didn't have to wait long for our pictures after the wedding - it was so fun to look back at the special moments! If you are looking for a great team and people who are passionate about what they do, then Tom and Richard are definitely the photographers for you!

These photograhers were amazing! Having more than one photographer present assured that not one precious moment was missed. The professionalism of each one was incredible. Many candid shots were taken without "interrupting" what was happening. The pictures were creative, beautiful, tastefully composed and very impressive. The photographers were wonderfully patient with everyone's needs and wants. They were cheerful, polite, and professional artists. Our family would highly reccommend Guppy Studio. Even the presentation of the dvd of final photos was very professional.

Tom and Richard were wonderful to work with! They were relaxed and really made sure the day went smoothly. They were fun to work with yet were professional at the same time. Before the wedding- Having really no idea on how this whole process works/what to look for in a photographer, I really went off of pricing and a gut feeling of comfort when I met with them, and I’m happy I did. They were very responsive (usually receiving immediate email replies from Tom regarding any questions that I had), professional (going out to do research in multiple areas to prepare for the wedding day), flexible (open to looking into several different sites, talking the options with me, and meeting with me prior to the day to plan things out), and communicated (again, immediate emails from Tom with information requested) with me about all the options. On the wedding day- It was great to have two photographers- One thing that I think was great and note-worthy is that they both have very different energy which allowed everyone from the groom (the whole picture thing was not his favorite) to the kids to be comfortable and build rapport with them and allowed the best possibility for great pictures. Richard would be silly with the kids (which was great for them after several hours of standing around) while Tom was calm and organized (helping the timeline go along smoothly). Having two perspectives of picture takers resulted in more depth and richness in the outcome of pictures (angle/amount/etc), which I had not anticipated, and loved. After the wedding day- I really was overwhelmed (in a good way) with the amount of pictures that resulted from their work. Within the week after the wedding, I had proofs to review and had the final edited copies within a few short weeks afterwards. Overall- Tom and Richard were fantastic to work with. Their pricing was really unbeatable. People told me throughout this process that one thing to be certain about is your photographers because the pictures are what last and what you will have to remember the memories forever. To be honest, I would internally roll my eyes because I am more about living in the moment versus concentrating too much on 'posing' for photos (at the sake of taking the ‘natural-ness’ out of the day)– with working with these guys, I feel I got both- I got to enjoy the day without worry while leaving the ‘capturing’ up to them. I appreciate that I was able to work with them.

Tom was a dream to work with! He is very easy to work with and his photos are amazing! I would definitely refer him to anyone with photography needs!

I found out about Tom through my wedding planner. Our wedding was a second ceremony since we had already gotten married in Germany before and this was supposed to be the state side ceremony. Tom was really amazing in catering to our needs. He asked a lot of questions before, scouted out the location and I was able to tell him about what I was looking for, whether more traditional or if I wanted him to capture scenes. We are a very unconventional couple and my husband HATES posing for pictures. BUT working with Tom even he had fun and it really shows in the pictures. The pictures are beautiful and really show my husband and my personality, a lot of goofiness and laughter. On top of that he had pictures online for us to look at just 2 days after the wedding!!! The DVD came soon after. For me that was important since all of my family lives overseas and that's the best way to get the pictures to them. I can only recommend working with Tom!!! As an artist and photography teacher, I had very high standards for our wedding photos. I wanted to have images that captured those candid moments that connect a person emotionally to a photograph along with family portraits. It took me a long time, but after seeing Tom’s Blog (Guppy Studio), I knew I had found my match. His photos had wonderful balance between connection, composition, contrast, and color. For our engagement session, we wanted our images outdoors. I told him we wanted the same effect from the winter photos from his site and he delivered. Our photos are captivating and beautiful. Tom is brilliant with color and it shows in these photos. During our wedding, I had a list of family portraits I wanted along with candid photos. Tom, Teresa, and the rest of the photographers were a lot of fun and did a great job of capturing the entire day. Looking through these candid photos gives me the opportunity to relive the wonderful emotions from that day over and over again. Thank you Tom and Teresa!
