The Oakdale location was very helpful for trying on my gown and ordering for pick up in Maple Grove. Their timetables were way off, though...I was told 15 weeks for delivery and it only took 2! A nice suprise, but wasn't planning on storing it myself for that long. The bridesmaids dresses were on sale, but the alterations cost them more than the dresses did. Overall, a good experience. Would recommend to a friend.

The Oakdale location was wonderful! I had a great experience in choosing my dress and accessories. We also purchased the bridesmaids dresses from this location and the bridesmaids all had a positive experience.

David's is exactly what it advertises: great dresses at great prices. But you don't get much more. The service was fine when I went for my bridal gown - the salesgirl was helpful and kind and responsive to my questions. This was not the case when I went for the bridesmaid's dresses. The associate ignored us most of the time - I had four girls willing to drop cash that day! I'm not helpless, though, I found the dresses myself and we bought them just fine. If you're looking for a dress at a deal - you're only wearing it for one day, anyway, you don't need to spend a fortune!! - go to David's. Don't expect great customer service, but you'll get decent service, and for the price, that's all you can ask.

dress was off the rack - then they snagged it during the "free" bead check and cleaning, so I got another 15% off and they were able to repair the dress. I got my alterations done at a private seamstress because I do not trust the David's bridal staff.

Davids Bridal is the absolute WORST place you could go to buy your dress. Their gowns are inexpensive, yes. But their customer service skills were repulsive. When I was ready to buy my dress, I couldn't even find someone to help me. When we were looking at bridesmaid dresses, they pointed us to the wrong section. We found one we really liked, were told we could order it in our color, only to find out it was a prom dress and not orderable in any other color. Since hot pink wasn't really in our color scheme, we had to go somewhere else. Hassle, hassle, hassle!!!!

My dress was beautiful but it took awhile for the employees to figure things out. I had 6 bridesmaids so maybe thats why things got a little confusing for them. I had a girl in New York who was in the wedding and they didn't send her the dress until 1 month before and she ordered it 5 months prior. There was a huge messup with some dresses, but everything did turn out okay!!

Davids Bridal was a great place for me to get my dress. I actually ended up going in when they were having their $99 sale. I picked out a few dresses and so did my mom. I HATED her choices but of course they were cheaper... but once I tried on one of my moms picks I knew it was the one! So I got the PERFECT dress for $99!!! My veil was more than the dress!
I would recomend getting your veil and other accessories at different shops. You can always find deals at second hand bridal shops on crenaline too!

When my dress came, it was too short. The seamstress was not understanding and very hard to work with, but once we went to the manager, everything turned around. She ordered the extra length for me on a Rush and didn't charge me any extra.

We purchased 5 bridesmaid's dresses and only one person didn't have a problem with the dress and service. They didn't call to tell the dresses were in. Some sizes were ordered incorrectly and they refused to reorder - instead they made one of my attendants take a less than perfect dress off the rack (beads were fallen off and it looked a bit soiled), they wouldn't have it cleaned. Alterations on two of my other attendants were incorrect. When we were in we were treated like we were inconviencing the most of the staff. I have freinds who have used David's Bridals at different locations with great success... maybe it is just this particular store. If you do decide to go to MG David's I wish you the best of luck.

Buying my dress from David's was a wonderful experience. They were very attentive and helpful. After I paid for my dress, everything went downhill. In addition to my dress, I ordered 3 bridesmaid dresses. 3 flowergirl dresses, shoes for everyone sashes, purses, jewelry, etc. I spent a lot of money at this store and was not happy. I never received a call when my items came in even though they said they would call me. A couple of times I called, was told items were in and then went to the store the same day to find out the items were not actually in so I had to come back another day. Everytime I went in they would tell me items I had already picked up were ready to be picked up so it was obvious that they were not updating their records. There was another girl getting married 2 weeks before me with my same name and everytime I called in they would confuse me with her and get our stuff mixed up.
I was happy with trying on my dress because the shop is so much roomier than other shops, but beyond that I was not happy with my experience.

David's Bridal has a decent selection of dresses at a reasonable cost. We found bridesmaid dresses that were discontinued and were able to locate enough in the right sizes that we got an amazing deal on them. The service left some to be desired, but in their defense they do service a lot of brides that make appointments and also have to deal with the walk in customers too. They could have been more helpful in locating the discontinued dresses - we did the searching on our own and had them sent to this location.
If you are looking for a high end dress and want to be completely taken care of during the process - you might be best served going elsewhere. If you are looking for a very nice dress at a reasonable cost and can handle not feeling like their only customer, David's can do this for you.

I originally went to the store to get an idea of dress styles they offered, and how they worked for me personally, and just check out some various stores merchandise. I was NOT going to buy a dress that day. I chose a couple of styles, and was discussing them with my friend. Whenever i mentioned a stylistic detail l liked or didn't know about, the sales woman was practically trying to get my signature to buy, or trying to get me out of a dress before i even looked in a mirror, respectively. I wasn't sure a dress i found was in my budget or worth the price, although I loved it, I wanted a second opinion from a friend. She just kept threatening I would lose it, if I didn't purchase it that second, not even giving me a moment alone with the friend that was with me to think things over, just hovering over us and pushing us towards the register. I couldn't even think clearly. I loved my dress, but the experience had me in tears!!!

I must say I was a little weary going to David's Bridal, but I was very happy with all of the services I received. I got my dress on sale and almost a year before my wedding. When I went in to get my alterations done, my dress was a little snug. They let me exchange it for free. Alterations were not terribly expensive. We also got all of the Bridesmaid dresses there. My bridesmaids lived in Michigan, Minnesota, and Missouri so purchasing at David's Bridal made everything come together nicely. Every dress looked identical.

I cannot tell you how much stress David's Bridal had put on me during the planning process. All I can say is Thank God I ordered my dress early! I made appointments everytime I went there and only once did I have someone to help me. I had to share her with another bride, so my maid of honor did most of the work. I ordered my wedding dress and it came in two weeks later. (That's the good part) I live 45 minutes away from the nearest David's Bridal. I went to pick it up and it was the wrong size! They did reorder it and it arrived six weeks later. Then I ordered the bridesmaid dresses in January. (4 months before my wedding) That was after I got 3 phone calls telling me I needed to order them now to ensure there delivery in time and leave enough time for alterations. I had changed a dress size before they were ordered because one of my bridesmaids became pregnant. I then got a phone call 4 weeks later that they hadn't been ordered yet and I better do it now for delivery! I told them that I had already ordered them a month earlier! They apoligized and said they would place the order that day. I reconfirmed the sizes to make sure they were correct. Six weeks later I called to see if they had arrived yet. I was told that they had been in since February!! I was steaming. I drove there and picked them up. Guess what?! Wrong size!!! This is three weeks before my wedding. I was not happy and made it known. The manager came and talked to me. She said they could order another dress and get it here in two weeks. That was not going to work. Both of my bridesmaids needed alterations done and none of them lived close. Finally she was able to get one overnighted from the warehouse. She did offer to drive it out to me, but after all I went through with them, I thought it was best to do it myself! My advice to brides...Save yourself the headache! I would have paid a hundred, two hundred more to go somewhere else and get better service.

They were ok. I was glad my mom was with me other wise things wouldn't have gotten done. Then when I called to see if my alterations were done on my dress they told me they couldn't find it. Good thing they just misplaced it but it caused some serious stressing out before they called me back to tell me that they had found it. When I finally brought my dress home they sent another brides vail home with me and i had to bring it back the next day. I didn't know it was in the bag until I got home.

I know A LOT of people have problems or bad experiences with DB...however, I did not. I received awesome customer service and being plus size they helped me located stores that had the size I needed and were able to put them on hold for me. The bridesmaids dresses were the hardest for me to decide on because they had so many great choices. What great prices too!!
